This is a big month for Baker Creek Seed Bank–it’s The Seed Bank’s Two-Year Anniversary of being in business! On Sunday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. join folks at the store for a full day of celebration. In addition to the hundreds of rare heirloom seed varieties they always have in stock, their extensive sustainable farming and organic gardening books, their carefully-crafted, English-made gardening tools–perhaps a perfect Father’s Day offering–they will be visited by a long list of local purveyors of garden-themed goodies and more. There’ll be something for everyone, including goodies to taste from Good Faith Olive Farm, Wine Country Kitchens, PreserveSonoma, Angelo’s Wine Country Deli, Nana Mae’s Organics, and Straus Family Creamery.
It’s also an opportunity to meet some of the local folks who create their garden-themed gifts and artwork, including Jan Kalyani Lochner, famous for her pressed-flower note cards, photographer Chuck Phillips, who photographs all things “nature,” and the accomplished artist behind Gordes by Hedda. Additionally, Kathryn Hall, author of Plant Whatever Brings You Joy: Blessed Wisdom from the Garden will be on hand from noon to 1:00PM to meet you and sign copies of her book for you!

Gardening and farming experts will be on hand to share tips, including Sonoma Compost. And in-house gardening experts can answer your questions about spring and summer planting, and more.

We hope to see you there!
